Ivan Ženatý

began his professional career by participating in the finals of the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, followed by his debut with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Libor Pešek, victory in the Prague Spring competition, and the title of laureate of the UNESCO International Tribune for Young Artists. In 1990, Ivan Ženatý made his debut in London, in 1991 at the Berlin Philharmonic and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, in 1994 in Tokyo, and in 1996 in New York and Buenos Aires. Ivan Ženatý's musical expression was influenced by personal encounters with Nathan Milstein, Ruggiero Ricci, and André Gertler, while Igor Bezrodny initiated a significant change in his musical thinking at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. However, the most significant influence on Ivan Ženatý was his private lessons with Josef Suk and their subsequent long-term collaboration, culminating in performances at the Würzburg Mozart Festival, the Prague Spring Festival, and a complete recording of the works of W. A. Mozart. He has appeared as a guest with prestigious orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra London, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Berliner Symphoniker, the Orquesta Nacional de España in Madrid, and leading Czech orchestras. His solo and chamber projects are also rated highly. His repertoire includes some fifty violin concertos. In addition to his obvious technical perfection, he is appreciated for his taste for style and the captivating beauty of his tone. He has taught master classes in the USA, Canada, and Germany, at the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, and since 2019 he has been a professor at the Dresden University of Music and the Meadowmount School of Music in New York. Thanks to the kindness of the New York Harmony Foundation, Ivan Ženatý plays a rare Giuseppe Guarneri "del Gesù" violin from 1740.

Martin Kasík

After studying at the conservatory in Ostrava and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Martin Kasík's victory in the Prague Spring competition in 1998 and Young Concert Artists in New York in 1999 paved the way for him to perform on concert stages. He has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Berlin Philharmonic, Wigmore Hall in London, Tonhalle in Zurich, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and other world-renowned concert halls, with conductors such as Pinchas Zukerman, Marin Alsop, Ingo Metzmacher, Serge Baudo, Ken-Ichiro Kobayashi, Libor Pešek, Jakub Hrůša, and Tomáš Netopil. He regularly collaborates with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the Prague Symphony Orchestra, with whom he has toured Japan and the USA.

In addition to his concert activities, Martin Kasík teaches at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and at the Prague Conservatory. He is the artistic director of the Chopin Festival in Mariánské Lázně. His recordings for Supraphon and Arco Diva have received the highest awards in Gramophone, Repertoire, and Harmonie magazines.
