EVE QUARTET
An ensemble of four young women who, since they came together in 2002, have not been afraid to combine different styles and genres. Their repertoire includes not only leading works of global quartet composition, but also swing, and they also collaborate with popular music performers (Marie Rottrová, Radůza, Lenka Nová, Dan Bárta etc.). They performed at Michal Horáček’s concerts in honour of Petr Hapka, and we should also mention their joint performance with the world-famous Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel at the Guitar Across Genres Festival. An important achievement was their work on the reconstruction of Pink Floyd’s The Wall concert performed by Filip Benešovský and other top Czech musicians. At the Czech Touches of Music Festival they had the opportunity to collaborate with the prominent Czech jazz musician Emil Viklický. They accompanied the leading Czech singer Dagmar Pecková at her recital in the Rudolfinum and performed in the Prague Symphony Orchestra’s chamber cycle together with the well-known Epoque Quartet ensemble. They also performed on the stage of the National Theatre in a performance of Intimate Letters, and they had further success with a programme of Shakespeare sonnets by V. Postránecký.
The ladies are members of the Prague Symphony Orchestra and are also intensively involved in solo playing and performing in other chamber ensembles.
