The chamber ensemble Belfiato Quintet was founded in 2005 by graduates of the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Today, its players, winners of awards from international interpretation competitions, are members of leading orchestras (Czech Philharmonic, National Theater Orchestra, PKF – Prague Philharmonic). The Belfiato Quintet is the winner of the 1st prize in the Antonín Rejcha competition at the festival in Semmering, Austria. In 2011, the ensemble won the 3rd prize at the "Henri Tomasi" international wind quintet competition in Marseille (France) together with the prize for the best performance of Tomasi's composition.
The ensemble performs regularly in the Czech Republic and abroad. He performed in the concert season of the Czech Philharmonic, the Czech Association for Chamber Music, in the chamber cycles of the Symphony Orchestra City of Prague FOK and PKF – Prague Philharmonia, at the Prague Spring festival, in the chamber cycle of the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. He cooperates with Czech Television and Czech Radio, he also spoke at the Czech Embassy in London and Tokyo.
In June 2017, Belfiato Quintet released their debut CD on the Supraphon label. This was followed by a very successful album with wind quintets by Antonín Rejcha, released in 2019 (also Supraphon), for which he won the Classic Prague Awards in the "Chamber Performance" category for 2019.
