Martina Bačová studied at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava, at the Prague Conservatory, and at the Dresden College of Music. She began successfully entering competitions in childhood, since when she has taken international master classes, performed at festivals in her own country and abroad, performed with leading domestic orchestras, and worked with Czech Radio and Czech Television. In addition to her core repertoire, she also likes to focus on 20th century music and recorded a solo CD entitled “Elegant provocation” featuring compositions by Otmar Mácha, Leoš Janáček, George Enesco, and Béla Bartók The recording won the International Record Review magazine prize in Great Britain.
Hana Šuková comes from the town of Městec Králové and lives in Poděbrady. She graduated from the Prague Conservatory and continued her studies of French horn in Berlin at the University of Arts. She performs with Czech and German orchestras (Deutsches Kammerorchester, Berliner Symphoniker), collaborates with chamber ensembles such as PhilHarmonia Octet, and with other ensembles. She also teaches at the City of Prague Grammar School and Music School.
Karel Košárek graduated from the Kroměříž Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, bringing his studies to a culmination in Dallas, Texas. He is a laureate of many international competitions and performs on stage in many countries, at international music festivals, in recitals, and with leading orchestras at home and abroad. He also works with many soloists as a piano accompanist and with chamber ensembles (Škampa Quartet, Baborák Ensemble, etc.). Karel Košárek records for several record companies and his CD featuring compositions by Bohuslav Martinů for Supraphon contains several tracks recorded for the first time ever. His repertoire includes piano concerts by George Gershwina, Benjamin Britten, and Jean Francaix, although he does also like performing an unusual repertoire in recitals. As Košárek's colleague, pianist Jan Dušek, recently wrote: "Karel Košárek is not one of those pianists that people go to hear for their reputation and fame regardless of what and how they play. He is not a media personality that we see regularly on TV or on magazine covers. He is not simply a performer who “must play well”. He plays well with ease." (klasikaplus.cz)
